"Those who stay" is a photography project that I started during my trip around the world, and that I kept feeding with pictures during my stays in remote places, far away from the bright postcard-spots countries have to offer. 

I capture people in situations that represent their very unique culture, to do pictures that couldn't be taken elsewhere in the word, yet I always try to capture the moment and the detail that makes the situation very human and unique itself, detaching the person from its culture to have a more intimate representation of the own identity of the subject.

The book I made following my trip around the world was introduced with these words :
